HVO North Open Cut Coal Continuation Project

The continuation of mining at hvo will support me,my family and community for a long time.

I support the project to keep providing jobs, economic viability

I support the approval for expansion, it is the primary income to be able to support my family. Also creates many local jobs and business off the back of HVO. HVO is also a massive supporter of the local community.

The project needs to go ahead as it will keep the community together, keep business running keep the Hunter valley alive. The project will keep people employed and give us purpose and help us keep our roofs over our heads.

Good for local jobs and needed for Singleton and Muswellbrook to prosper into the future. These towns rely on mining to keep well used services such as hospitals and local amenities such as pools maintained and open.
With the environment as a major concern the mine currently has a good track record in looking after the local environment and safe workings around the Hunter River.

I support this project as the current employee of hvo . This project is important to me as it supports mine and my families livelihood, we have just purchased our first home in the local area and are relying on my income to keep a roof over our head.

This project supports my working lifestyle and helps me to support my family to great lengths I think this project is a well designed well planned and thought out. Hvo also puts lots back into all community groups and charities. Hvo is treats everyone like family and look after the environment in great lengths

This project will support not only my family but the surrounding communities and economy.

I support this project as it is vital to the families and friends of employees and the future of coal mining

A large percentage of people i know gain employment from the local mining industry. Being an Aboriginal i care for and respect the land and what ive seen of Glencore, they look after the land better than any other coal mine that i seen.

I currently work for HVO. Working for the company has provided me the opportunity to begin building a house in the Hunter Valley and will soon be able to begin planning to start a family with my partner. Without the job security HVO provides me. I would not be in the position I am. The Hunter Valley needs this approval more now then ever, given the uncertain energy climate, cost of living crisis and potential recession. The livelihoods HVO support both inside the mine and the money that flows out into the local community are needed more then ever.

Will provide financial support for me and my family

Good things are coming from HVO, for the mine itself, the workforce, environment and community so its a no brainer to approve this project extension. This will provide job security and allow younger workers such as myself to see out our careers here at hvo until we retire which no other mine has, HVO is giving back to the community so its all about give and take and I truly believe coal mining isn’t a bad thing because we are the prime source of electricity.

1:Provides & will continue our export/trade for our country
2: Employment as well as all the supporting businesses for Australians!
3: We need coal to turn our lights on - we cannot rely wholly on wind or solar technologies.
4: Invest in clean coal technology to keep our country afloat!

I fully support the project as if it doesn’t go ahead it will be detrimental to the local community and will destroy homes and families

HVO provides jobs and supports the local community. The hunter relies on mining for the community and a lot of people rely on the jobs they provide.

I support this project to continue mining life in the Hunter valley. Lots of job to keep families local and keep the local community thriving
