I strongly support the continuation of HVO North Open Cut. It has been a huge contributor to the Hunter Valley economy and on a personal level has allowed my family to benefit from the above average wages I have earned as a Mechanical Technician at the mine site. I strongly believe regardless of peoples personnel beliefs on Climate change quality COAL has a place in the energy grid for a long time into the foreseeable future.

I support the project, as I am a young tradesman that works for Hunter Valley Operations with a young family to support. The mine gives me job security in a time when not a lot of people have that. The rejection of the project would substantially affect my family financially, meaning we would have to most likely leave the local area to pursue another means of employment, which would have significant stresses on my two children’s education and social development due to new locations/schooling.
