I strongly support the continuation of HVO North Open Cut. It has been a huge contributor to the Hunter Valley economy and on a personal level has allowed my family to benefit from the above average wages I have earned as a Mechanical Technician at the mine site. I strongly believe regardless of peoples personnel beliefs on Climate change quality COAL has a place in the energy grid for a long time into the foreseeable future.

I support the HVO continuation project. It provides jobs for the local community and supports my family. There is no extension to the currently anpproved mining areas and the final rehabilitated landform will be much better when completed

I support the project, as I am a young tradesman that works for Hunter Valley Operations with a young family to support. The mine gives me job security in a time when not a lot of people have that. The rejection of the project would substantially affect my family financially, meaning we would have to most likely leave the local area to pursue another means of employment, which would have significant stresses on my two children’s education and social development due to new locations/schooling.

The continued operation of Hunter Valley Operations will continue to provide employment far reaching than the local economy. In my instance living in far western NSW I have provided project engineering support to HVO and my families economic continuance is reliant upon continued operations.

I would like to support the HVO continuation project as my family and I work and live in the hunter valley. It has many benefits for the local community and the economy with little impact from an already existing mine.

As a third generation coal mining family I can talk from a real lived experience of the benefits that the industry has provided my family which it continues to do.

The HVO project will provide jobs and security for families in the Hunter Valley Region for the immediate future. These families are those directly employed by the mine or the countless businesses that support this operation.

The support the project for the benefit of my town, family and myself. The mine keep food on the table and allows me to give my foster kids a great chance in life. If the project was not approved it would have a tremendous negative affect on my region and community.
