HVO supports the community via employment opportunities, supporting local charities and developments and we are not prepared as a country to support energy production without the coal mining industry, not will we be in the near future. Unitl we have developed and successfully started to produce enough clean energy to support our population at a reasonable cost, mining should be continuied in the Hunter Valley.

This mine supports my family and I won’t that to continue until I retire, HVO is utilising already mined land just going deeper to extract coal that was previously unattainable.

Coal must continue, Australia is not ready to switch it off. HVO employes 1000s of local people directly and 1000s indirectly. The closure of this mine will have a huge rolling effect across the Hunter. Families and businesses really on HVO.. not only Families and businesses, but all the local charities, volunteering organisations, sporting clubs and local councils that receive funding from hvo... turn off hvo, turn off the hunter
