HVO South Open Cut Coal Continuation Project

I support this project going forward as it has alot of positive impact on the local economy and offers a significant amount of local jobs including my own helping me raise my children and keeping them in the local economy

I believe HVO has high standards of safety and respect for the environment and the extension of this mine would benefit thousands of individuals that are employed by this company along with the surrounding communities.

As an employee of hvo my family depends on the approval of this project. It also has a positive impact on the many neighbouring communities.

The amount of jobs the continuation will provide is quite numerous, I feel that the extension will be good for the community around the Hunter Valley area.

I Support Mining and Hvo
The benefits extend directly to the support of regional economic activity, supporting local business through sourcing supplies locally and above this, the taxes and royalties from mining are what help deliver infrastructure and services to our communities, including roads, schools and hospitals.
As a current employee of Glencore, working in the mining industry for 10 years spread across 9 different mines I can safely say that I have never worked for a company that has been more committed to not only understand and comply with environmental obligations but also educate and empower people to take initiative on environmental management.
Since working at Hunter Valley Operations , I truly believe that Glencore are focused on maintaining an effective global environmental management system and accountability for monitoring, measuring and reporting environmental performance.
The strong leadership and education of environmental objectives displayed by Glencore Hunter Valley Operations at this mine have inspired me to respect the environment where we live and work.

I have worked at HVO south for 17 years and the continuation project would see my mining career through to retirement

I am for this project because mining is my livelihood and because of the money that is put back into the community.

Its my job i hope to get a shirt if they pull their finger out so i can better support my family but if they dont want to give out more permanent jobs they can stick the mine up their arse

With the income generated by the mine in the local community I believe it would be a mistake to not approve the mine. Local business would lose millions of dollars per year and close adding to what would be extreme unemployment levels created by out of work miners.

I support this because this provides more jobs for now and the future for our families. It’s a great and supportive mine to help support families through the Hunter valley.

I support this continuation project as it keeps me in a job,
which means I can provide and support my family.

I live in Singleton and I think the community and areas around here need mining to continue as long as possible. HVO has a lot of workers who will need jobs if it doesn't get approved. It will devastate Singleton and also housing market in this area.

This is my livelihood I support the continuation

This is not a new mine just an extension of an existing mine. With fewer final voids, there will be a better environtal outcome at the end of the mine life. The approval of this project is very important to the local business and communities of Singleton, Muswellbrook and Jerry's Plains.
In addition there are over 1200 direct employees and contractors employed at the mine directly affected who's wages are spent in and around their local communities. There is a significant amount of government revenue from royalties.
These benefits must be taken into account when considering this project.

It needs to continue so the community can continue to grow and thrive.
