I support the project. It needs to continue for the families & community.

I support the HVO continuation project as if provides many jobs in the Hunter Valley, not only directly employed by HVO but also many contractors and vendors.
HVO is always helping out local charities with fundraising and also providing infrastructures around the local community.
The extension of HVO will see more job opportunities and more money back into the local community.

I support this project. This needs to continue.

Continued operation provides stable employment to thousands of families either directly or indirectly employed.

I support HVO redevelopment

As an HVO employee, I support the continuation of the South Open Cut Continuation project. My employment helps me to earn an income that supports me and my family and also paying tax. HVO operates two sections which are North and South mining areas that are divided by Hunter River. The continuation project's goal is to operate within the existing mining areas thereby continuing to support local jobs, the local economy and community. The mine has always operated in a responsible and sustainable manner putting the safety of employees and communities first.

The continuation of this mining operation is imperative for the employment
Of staff and operators they need to keep their jobs

HVO is a great supporter of the community and local businesses. They contribute to the Westpac rescue helicopter in the Hunter Valley region. They also have provided funding for various local and regional service groups.
My daughter is also employed by HVO South and will ensure continued employment for her creating a less stressful worklife.

I have been working at HVO south for 3 months, prior to working with HVO I was against mining. After learning about their rehabilitation and environmental developments I have come to love working within this mining environment. I have been given numerous opportunities to develop my skills thanks to HVO.

I support this project

I am an employee of hvo and these projects need to continue or we will see a major decline in communities like Muswellbrook and Singleton, these projects our not only for our future but our children's future.

As a current employee at Hunter Valley Operations as well as a local community member, I have been able to see firsthand the positive impact that HVO has on our community through donations, grants and community initiatives. The continuation project will not only allow the jobs of current employees (including myself) to continue, but create 1500 new roles within the local area. The continuation will also support the long term growth of our economy and energy sources whilst we continue to look at renewable services. I support the continuation project until 2050 and would be very pleased to see it go ahead.

Fuchs supports the HVO South Open Cut Coal Continuation Project as it supports many jobs within the mine itself and ten times as many jobs with the network of suppliers that support the mine, which includes Fuchs Lubricants. This mine has an enormous flow on effect with the work and money generated through this mine flowing all the way down the Hunter Valley into Newcastle creating a strong and prosperous economy. The continuation project also supports local community groups and has a major focus on the environment both during the mines life and also the with a solid plan for remediation after the mine ceases operation.

This proposal will secure around 1500 full time jobs, around $500M annual expenditure with local businesses, pay heaps of taxes and royalties to governments to provide facilities for the community - If this mine does not go ahead the coal that HVO would have mined will simply be mined by other countries to meet the high international demand for coal and will make no difference to global emissions.

I Just got my first good job late last year, to pay off my house and support my family, we are finally financially stable, if HVO doesn't continue I would be without an income and my family would struggle
Myself and my family need this continuation

This project will provide the economic resources to support the local community in which I live and work for the rest of my working life. Due to the current political climate with Coal Mine expansion in the area, this approval is critical to Mining in the Hunter Valley and for the local economy. This community will not survive without Mining and the employment it provides to such a large proportion of the community.

I work at Hunter valley operations it is my future and HVO supports me and my family plus they do awesome things for the community

I Live in the Hunter Valley and definitely support the continuation of the existing hvo open cut coal mine because it is a major employer in the area and contributes a lot of money into the NSW economy .Hunter Valley coal is one of the cleanest coals in the world and by not allowing the Mine to Remain open it's existing customers will have to source lower quality coal somewhere else which would be worse for the environment.Coal is going to be used for decades so if we don't mine it someone else will to fill the demand and usually not to the safety and environmental standards that Australia has.
