I Object to Junction Rivers Wind Electricity Generating Works & BESS as I am extremely concerned for the great loss of farming land and land for animal life!
When we lose endangered animals they are gone!
I also feel farmers are not protected from malpractice when they lease their land to big companies. My information tells me that their contracts do not protect farmers from having to dispose later of any waste.
The Government must responsibly ensure that overseas investors do not contribute to the waste challenges we already have, but as it stands, this has not been adequately put in place at all.
I am very unhappy that there is no opportunity for open debate on this venture that will change the life of all Australians.
The fact is that wind ‘farms’ will not bring enough energy to supply ordinary Australians. They have not been proven to deliver continuous supply - 30% efficient is not good enough!
The fact is energy costs will rise for ordinary, already struggling householders.
The spin is: ‘ It looks good’.... NO!!!! NOT TRUE!!!
‘The sound does not affect people’….. UNTRUE!!!
‘Farmers are in for a good deal’ ….. NOT AT ALL!!!

The project is adjacent to a nature. The health of animals may be heavily impacted by low frequency noise which is a means for predator/prey detection and communication between species of many animals. The wind farm may also negatively affect microclimate including nocturnal temperatures and humidity levels and further risk the health of native fauna and flora. The project is also not too far from an urban centre - and in such a quiet location the wind turbines are likely to transform the soundscape in ways which are foreign to the area.

The agricultural sector is a major contributor to Australia's GDP, providing jobs, food, and economic stability. The destruction of farmland for renewable energy projects is not only a violation of our rights but also a threat to the nation’s economic stability. The government is prioritising energy over agriculture, which goes against the commitments to the people of Australia.
The critically endangered Swift Parrot, which relies on the flowering eucalyptus in our region, is losing its habitat due to these projects. The Greyheaded flying fox, Growling grass frog, the superb parrot to name a few of the animal that will be displaced by this project. These species and many others are part of the unique biodiversity of the region and face various threats from habitat loss. Conservation effort are essential to protect these endangered species. I can't see how conservation go together with turbines. Please do not build this animal killing project

Impact on Local Flora and Fauna, the proposed renewable energy project will lead to the destruction of critically endangred habitats, threatening the survival of several species unique to our region. This leaves some animals and bird in dire strates; the spiny rice-flower, mallee Emu-wren, austral toadflax, wolly wattle.. River Swamp wallaby grass,Regent honeyeater Northern corroboree frog, bush stone-curlew, grey crowned babbler. These species face threats from habit loss from renewable energy projects in the area that they live.
Threat to Agricultural Land, The conversion of fertile agricultural land to energy infrastructure directly reduces our capacity to produce food, which could have significant implications for food security, GDP and all Australian with the reduction of food production. It really is a travesty

Economic Impact on Local Farmers is a huge to agriculture across many states of Australia. The loss of productive farmland will reduce the income of local farmers, leading to economic hardship and potential loss of livelihoods. The Noise Pollution generated by the energy infrastructure, especially during construction, will have a detrimental effect on both wildlife and the mental well-being of local residents. The infrasound create by the turbine blade passing the base, is of great concern the people and animal in he area.

1) The term renewable power is incorrect and misleading due to it referring to self-renewing and freely available sunshine and wind, while in fact the electricity generated requires the original construction of solar panels, wind turbines and power lines, and these need to be regularly maintained, and the panels and turbines eventually demolished and replaced at least every 20-35 years.
The electricity being generated is obviously not self-renewing or freely available as the term ‘renewable’ implies.
2) The panels, turbines and power lines associated with the electricity generation despoil the landscape of the world renowned Riverina plains. These are a blight on the natural and unique beauty of the area.
3) The panels, turbines and power lines associated with the electricity generation decimate the productivity of the associated land, causing a decline in the creation of wealth and prosperity of the people in the affected area.
4) The many proponents of these behemoths live mainly in the urban areas of Newcastle, Sydney and Wollongong, and refuse to have them constructed in their own backyard, but instead construct them in ours. This is an abuse of authority.
5) The great quantity and cost of material and construction required to install the panels, turbines and power lines exceeds the quantity of material and cost required for the existing electricity supply.
6) There is no advertised method or place of disposal of the panels and turbines when they are eventually demolished. This lack of knowledge is unsatisfactory.
7) The installation of the panels, turbines, power poles and lines, has been ordered without the consent of the local people. The dictatorial nature of the NSW State Government’s actions is unsatisfactory.
8) The subsidizing of the cost of the so called renewable electricity by the cost added to the existing electricity supply is adding greatly to the cost of all electricity. This greater cost is reducing the ability of all people in NSW to prosper. In many cases it is reducing the ability of people to heat their homes. The cost of this electricity is reducing the prosperity of all people in NSW, and in some cases, is impoverishing them.
9) The premise for the need to replace the existing electricity supply is not supported by evidence.
The premise consists of numerous factors, the most obvious being:
a) The world’s temperature is increasing catastrophically.
b) The world’s climate is changing catastrophically.
c) The world’s temperature is increasing, and the climate changing due to an increase in carbon dioxide in the atmosphere.
d) The increase in the amount of carbon dioxide in the atmosphere is caused by Man’s burning of carbon based fuels such as coal and oil.
e) The burning of carbon based fuel in Australia must stop in order to save both the Earth and all life on Earth.
The factors constructing the premise are not convincingly supported by evidence. There is in fact much evidence provided by numerous eminent professionals that indicates, if not proving conclusively, that the factors listed above are false.
The claimed evidence supporting the premise appears to consist mainly of regular repetition of the premise’ factors in the urban media in the hope, if not with the intention, that they will be eventually perceived as fact. The premise relies on repetition rather that evidence and substantiation.
There is a different standard applied to other countries considering that Australian coal is copiously mined in Australia and exported to many and any other country in the world for burning over there.
10) There have been many predictions of temperature and climate disaster made by proponents of projects such as the one at Hay that have failed to occur in any semblance of their description.
I note and request that:
1) The installation of the proposed solar panels, wind turbines and associated power pole and lines is not justified or desired.
2) A moratorium be placed on the installation of the proposed project.
3) The existing method of electricity generation and supply be retained entirely.
4) A NSW State Government funded enquiry be conducted by professionals both in support of and opposed to the proposed project.
This enquiry to include:
a) the investigation of the justification i.e. premise, for the project.
b) investigating the existing method of electricity generation and supply
c) Investigate the proposed electricity generation method
d) investigate alternative methods of electricity generation such as using nuclear, gas and hydrogen fuel.
5) Assuming and confident that the requested enquiry will justify our desires, I request that at the end of the moratorium the proposed project be discontinued and any existing construction be demolished

Article 2 of the Paris Agreement emphasises sustainable development and efforts to combat climate change without compromising food production, yet this project does the opposite by threatening vital agricultural lands.
The construction and operation of this project could disrupt local water resources, which are essential for both farming and the local ecosystems. The Bisphenol A from leading edge erosion will be a huge problem .

I object to this project as I frequently visit the Kyalite area and have family that live and work in the area and I'm worried about the environmental impact and the mental health impact on the farmers and locals in the vicinity of the turbines if they were to go ahead.
I also do not want the turbines as they take up valuable agricultural land as there is all different types of farms around including grains, nut trees, vegetables and livestock pastures. The turbines make no sense to take up that prime land.

The installation of high voltage transmission lines increases the risk of fires, which could devastate both agricultural land and surrounding natural habitats. Any alternative Solutions Overlooked, the focus on large-scale energy infrastructure ie turbine & solar ignores smaller, more sustainable alternatives that could be implemented without harming agricultural land or ecosystem, alternative engery generation would give the right mix of electricity generation for Australians
