I believe this project will have a negative impact on the local landscape potentially increasing bushfire risks to people and property, as well as killing native birds. I also am concerned about the potential risk of turbines changing wind flow and directions in an area at high risk of spray drift impacts, with a number of susceptible plantations and crops in this area (pistachios, almonds, cereals, legumes and pulses).

Apart from the destruction of the landscape and flora and fora, the potential contamination of soil and pollution of water with Bisphenol (BPA) from the fibre glass turbine blades needs to be addressed.
The developer should be required to lodge with government a bond for the decommissioning and remediation of the site. Experience shows that most developers sell-off the development to an operator who would likely sell the wind turbine factory well before decommissioning and remediation would be required and therefore they will not be around to carry out the decommissioning and remediation.
Decommissioning and remediation is likely to fall back to the host landholder and are they aware the current cost to decommission a wind turbine is between $400K to $600K per tower?

As neighbours of the proposed Junction Rivers Wind Farm development, we farm on the highly productive country of the Kyalite district. This district is well known for its unique close proximity to several river systems coupled with the highly fertile and productive red sandy loams. This region caters for both horticulture and broadacre enterprises and farming systems. We object to this development as we want to have options for future irrigation and horticultural development on our own property and our future generation, which will be impacted by this proposed windfarm. How these turbines will affect the atmospheric conditions around this small district is not known, the options for aerial spraying or spreading will be impacted. There are too many unknown elements and the lack of substantial data to ease our concerns regarding fire risk, insurance premiums and the effect on human health and the environment.

I object. Just stop this “green” nonsense. All these projects are doing is lining the pockets of billionaires and international corporations at the expense of Australians, all while they destroy our environment and primary farming land.
Enough is enough. Wake up!!

I object. These renewable energy projects are destroying our farming land, our environment and wildlife. It seems that all stops have been removed so money can be passed around all while nobody will ever be held accountable for the damage these projects will ultimately cause. Those who will suffer from these - aside from the Australian tax payers coughing up the subsidies - will be the farmers and rural communities.
If there are troughs, there will be pigs - this pretty much sums up the renewable energy industry.

I object due to the effect of native wildlife not being published. Further, the major risk of the fire damage to local farms.

I oppose the Junction Rivers wind turbine project for fear of losing my job as a farm hand.
My fear is agricultural cropping land is being taken over by wind turbines and solar panels!
I love my job!
Cultivating, sowing, spraying, fertilizing and harvesting grain to feed Australia is an honor.
I need to work to make a living, and this is what I choose to do.
You need to think about the locations of renewable energy sites and realize local farm hand employment will be lost because of these poor decisions!

I believe the construction of 96, 300m high 100m blades wind turbines will threaten and impact on my broadacre farming business. I am the unfortunate neighbor that has to live beside these gigantic industrial looking structures and wonder at the Governments decision to allow these turbines to be built in Australia's most fertile cropping land...
There is no doubt these wind turbines will have significant, detrimental, negative economic outcomes on food production and it will forever change how the land is supposed to be used. It would pay for you to remember EVERY DAY, THREE TIMES A DAY YOU NEED FARMERS TO GROW THE FOOD, YOU EAT!

I object the following plan. There are many reasons why wind farm operations are not compatible with the local area. The area is a fertile cropping region for predominantly cereal crops, not an arid grazing area like had been mentioned to me previously as a description. Spraying practices may become heavily impacted due to spray drift, which is a very serious environmental and health risk. Noise pollution is a significant health risk for those locally who live and work close to the area for months and years. There is also believed to be critically endangered birdlife living in the area. I love the push for renewables, but this program should not go ahead in the planned area. Thank you.

As a local to this area, I object strongly to the Junction Rivers WInd Farm proposal for the following reasons:
1. Lack of Proper Planning: These renewable energy projects are popping up randomly everywhere in our surrounding area with no proper planning. It appears that these proposals are being approved without a comprehensive strategy or consideration of the long-term impacts on our community and environment.
2. Impact on Mental Health: I have seen firsthand the impact these proposals are having on the mental health of my community. The uncertainty and disruption caused by these projects are contributing to significant stress and anxiety among residents. Our community deserves to live in a stable and supportive environment, free from the constant worry of invasive developments.
3. Biodiversity Hotspot and Productive Food-Producing Region: We are in a biodiversity hotspot and one of the most productive food-producing regions in the nation. The impacts this will have on this area are irreversible. The Dinawan proposal threatens the delicate balance of our ecosystem and jeopardises the agricultural productivity that our region is known for. The loss of biodiversity and fertile land would have long-term detrimental effects on our environment and economy.
4. Insufficient Consideration of Long-Term Effects: The effects of these proposals have not been well thought out. There seems to be no comprehensive assessment of the long-term impacts on our community, environment, and economy. As far as I can see, there is no cradle-to-grave policy that ensures the responsible management and decommissioning of these projects once they are no longer viable. This lack of foresight and planning is deeply concerning.

When is it all going to stop? We all know that this country cannot only run on renewal energy all this money invested by overseas companies Profit leave the country
We are left with cleaning up the solar or wind farms when they go broke
Or are not serviceable and have finished the lifespan
Question is with all this renewable power bills are meant to be cheaper which is totally incorrect electricity bill have increased
When is this Government going to realise they are destroying this country with renewables

Impact to local business (loss of income through sales)
Impact to local business through devalue in real estate values.
Visual impact
Loss of production in agriculture and the flow on affects
No evidence in fertility loss of stock
Insurance costs to rise
Risk of the turbines starting fires and nsw fire authority not fighting them
Spray drift on neighbouring pistachio and almond farms
Divides communities
Health concerns on humans,rivers,and land
LGCs which are a subsidy paid by the government to foreign
companies that build renewables it is then passed onto business and household electricity bills it costs 1.6 billion per year
Equity levels with banks if land devalued
Highly productive land boarded by three rivers, that host fishermen, campers, national parks, towns of kyalite and balranald plus local business

Do not agree with Wind Farms, no good for environment they restrict certain farming practices also they’re causing more fires as time goes on and where the hell do we dispose of these when the use by date is up. These are only a few of the reason why I’m totally against wind farms

I blatantly object to the construction of Junction rivers wind turbine project. It has pained me to see a wedge driven through my small town community of Kyalite because of wind turbines.Greed being the name of the game for a small minority in the community and the neighboring farmers accused of being jealous!
I fear for the mental health of all our farmers and I will do anything to stop this neighboring farming rift from happening!
MONEY DOES NOT BUY HAPPINESS…. PUT THEM SOMEWHERE ELSE ……WE DON’T WANT WINDTURBINES HERE!
OUR JOB AS FARMERS IS TO FEED AUSTRALIA….DO NOT MAKE US HAVE TO SUPPLY THEIR POWER TOO!
IF YOU DO…. OUR FARMING COMMUNITY WILL NOT SURVIVE!

I live on a farm at Moulamein in the Riverina of NSW, approximately 1 hours drive from Balranald. My concerns are for the future of agricultural production in this area. Farming in this area is the major earner of our economy . We work on relatively marginal land, and need every acre for agricultural production.I would like our Government to adopt what the Government of Italy has done, and not allow wind farms to be built on agricultural land. The wind farms should not affect our ability to produce food for the nation. We need to make Australia and NSW self sufficient with our food supplies. Many people in favour of wind farms, often city and coastal dwellers, have no idea of the amount of agricultural land that they will occupy , and affect adversely once they are built.I recommend we do not build the wind farm on agricultural land.

I object to this wind farm for many reasons, including, it ruins the natural landscape, having large white metallic objects in the sky ruins the natural beauty of the area. It effects bird migration, increases risks of bush fires, which is a problem considering how rural the area is and how slow the response to a fire would be. They would be inefficient considering the small amount of wind the area gets and therefore would be a waste of money. They are also not good for the environment since in the process of breaking down they devalue the land by polluting the soil and damaging the wildlife around.
