Farming is not just our livelihood; it's a key part of Australia's economy, with agriculture contributing significantly to GDP.
The loss of productive farmland to renewable energy factories is a tragedy for our community and a disaster for the nation's economy.
The government is neglecting its duty under the Paris Agreement to protect food security, and this will have long-term consequences for Australia.
The endangered Southern Bell Frog, which relies on the wetlands in our region, is being pushed to the brink of extinction by these developments.

The agricultural sector is a major contributor to Australia's GDP, generating billions of dollars in revenue. The destruction of our farmland for renewable energy projects will not only harm our community but also have a significant impact on the nation's economy.
The government allowing energy projects to take precedence over agriculture, has lost all sight of the importance of food production in our great country.
The endangered Striped Legless Lizard, which relies on our native grasslands, is being pushed closer to extinction as these habitats are destroyed

I object the proposed wind farm, due to working in the area and it’s another hazard added to a high risk work platform, and would have to stop the work in the area due to insurances not being good enough to cover cover my self from potentially destroying towers in a accident if one was to eventuate ,

Having made my own investigations into previous points put forward with regard to the impact of the wind turbines, whether it be from the medical point of view, visual, noise, or damage to the landscape or loss of wildlife, there does not appear to be any evidence that would support any detrimental impacts in any of these areas. Although the expectation of noise has been a major factor the advances in technology for these turbines has already addressed that issue. The town of Balranald, albeit it with a small population, has a major highway running through it so the element of noise from trucks night and day far outweighs any claims in respect of noise or other pollutions. Bearing in mind the proposed location of the site itself I would not have thought there would be any negatives with regard to visual impacts or any affect overall on the landscape itself in respect of existing trees and loss of wildlife. Progress is the key here, which is paramount to ensure the sustainable development of this area in providing power to a wider area and creating jobs and opportunities, as well as, what is on most people minds, cutting carbon emissions. Wind turbines are all over the world working efficiently and successfully. Lets ensure we don't miss out . Lets be part of progress into the future.

I have been a camper up in the Kyalite area for 40 years and now have a small holiday house in the area which I visit on most weekends. As such I am in constant dialogue with those in the Kyalite community and the divide that this project will cause ( should it proceed ) is my main reason for objecting , and to conclude that this project will increase social cohesion is laughable. I am already witness to fallouts between families who have been close knit for generations. Furthermore the aesthetics of these monsterous wind turbines & powerlines scattered across our rural landscape is unacceptable and unwarranted.

The proposal of this wind farm has divided the close nit community of Kyalite and surrounding districts, this is a real shame as these people have grown up together and some are actually in business together which makes things very difficult.
The Kyalite area is a highly agricultural district. Some real concerns are what might the effect to stock fertility be. What might the implications of the turbines spinning do to cereal crop spray. Will they push the residue on to the highly productive pistachio and almond farms in the surrounding district. In the months from October to may the area can be very susceptible to fire. What are the risks of the turbines starting a fire and what is the capability’s of the local fire service to handle a fire started by these turbines. This could result in the loss of not only stock but human life. I urge you to carefully consider this project and make the right decision to deny the project planning application

These are toxic structures that will destroy not only our land, but the health of our livestock and communities.

The plastics that come off the blades will slowly destroy the health and lives of all surrounding living things. The toxic run-off from the blades will impact our crops and livestock. As soon as word gets out that our food and fibre has been contaminated within a radius of these structures, that will be the end of the Australian ag industry as nobody will want to purchase from these properties. Why is it acceptable that rural Australia be lumped with these burdens?

our business has been operating in the area for over 45 years our company strongly object to this project due to the lack of information that has been offered up on what will happen long term with this project we are witnessing a community being torn apart with worries to landscape the environment , and potential harm to farming practices in this area, the way the project managers have communicated with the community is NOT a way that anybody should run a business , please contact me to discuss if required

I object to the project for the following reasons
- The effect it is having dividing our community
- Agronomist has advised that it will increase chemical bill astronomically
- It will dry out the land and we are already in drought conditions
- They will be detrimental to our livestock
- Creates fire Hassard - there was recently on fire in Portland and it had to burn itself out. Our community does not have resources that would be able to extinguish a fire 300m in the air. With the area so dry it would be catastrophic if a fire broke out.
- Will be unable to insure our crops due to the fire risk
- It will stop bees from coming to the area pollinating our native trees and orchards
- It drives away our native birds - some rare species
- The noise pollution in the area
- Increased stress and depression on our already struggling farmers and families
- The unsightly look of them in our region

I object this project as I live and work around the area.
Im against the project as it has a massive impact on the land and environment where they are proposed to go and also the cost it of the project that the tax payers and future families will have to pay for.

I would like to object to the Wind Farm Proposal that is being proposed in the Kyalite area. I have been camping in this area for more than 10 years on numerous trips each of those years. Apart from the environmental eye sore that it would create it is poorly researched and obviously all about Government subsidies and not producing electricity. I have never known this area to be windy at all. Clearly to me it is an absolute white elephant that the Australian taxpayers will have to bare. It is an absolute con to expect the public to believe it would be viable in any way. So why put a wind turbine where there is no wind. Apart from it being an absolute eye sore on the country side I very strongly object to the proposal. Tony (Anthony) Fisher

These unreliable and intermittent forms of energy will not only destroy Australia, but send us broke.
Our government MUST explore nuclear so we can at least give future generations hope.
As a 5th generation farmer, it is appalling to see our agricultural land set up to be destroyed by these structures. This is the land that produces our nation’s food and fibre and as such, needs to be left alone and protected at all costs. It is not a source of easy income for billionaires and international corporations.

I object to the project because of the determent it will have to our land
- Our Agronomist is warning us that if it goes ahead our chemical bill increase dramatically
- The condition of our land will deteriorate and dry out considerable and we are already suffering through the el nino weather conditions and drought
- The effect to our livestock and livelyhood
- The potential for fires - there was recently on fire in Portland and the fan had to burn itself out as the fire brigade could not reach it with their equipment. The local brigades do not have resources that would be able to fight a 300m in the air. With the area so dry it would be catastrophic. It would spread for kilometres before anyone could reach it.
- The cost to insure our properties and crops for fire risk will be enormous or Un-insurable
- The fans will drive away all the native fauna and flora. The bees will not pollinate the area which will also effect the horticultural industry in the area. There are very rare species of birds and flora that will become extinct if this goes ahead.
- The farmers are already struggling in the area, this would just increase the stress levels and depression on our already struggling families
- It will change the beautiful look of our region and the tranquility of it.
- The thought of having wind fans in our area is dividing our community.
Making the rich richer without a thought to anyone else.
