On 22 June 2023, NSW Planning issued an Official Caution to Warkworth Mining Ltd (WML) for exceeded noise impact assessment criteria at three noise monitoring locations for the Warkworth Continuation Project on 20 July 2022. WML had failed to implement their approved Noise Management Plan on the night of 20 July 2022 in the lead up to the exceedances. WML have since implemented measures to ensure compliance with their management plan and NSW Planningcontinues to monitor WML's noise reporting data and implementation of the NMP.

I believe the mine should go ahead but not how it's setup now
All properties in the Bulga communities are being devalued by this extension and with no financial assistance
All the people effected should be offered to be paid out and offered to be helped pack up and resettle
I've just spent $100000 on my property over the past two years and I had valued and it has gone up by $10000 a absolute joke as the mine is not offering myself a buy out
If they did I'd be gone in no time
My property is constantly effected by noise and dust
I don't use my clothes line and constant kept awake with noise levels exceeding the maximum and the mine sometimes take a hr or two to quieter the pit down
Not good enough
The whole pit should be shutdown straight away and the maximum levels need to be lowered so there bearable
Rio tinto made a agreement with the community that it would never come across the Wallaby Scrub rd which now they do
There word is worth a piece of shit
The government should never allow this sort of stuff to happen

MTW are like family to me. We rely upon each other. It is a huge comfort being gainfully employed and in turn being valued for the work you do. I have always had a strong work ethic and have never worked for a company who looks after their employees as well as they do and who gives so much back to the greater communitee, in so many ways.
We need this extension granted, PLEASE save our jobs and the hundreds of others, who ultimately, will be affected due to the flow on if MTW shuts down operating.

Mines must work with the local community, but a minority of NSW people must not be allowed to effect the life style of the majority of people of NSW .
Without a strong mining industry for NSW, We cannot afford our teachers and nurses, These people should also get behind this project extension.
lets be fair safe and honest and keep the NSW economy strong so our people can live life to the fullest
