On 22 June 2023, NSW Planning issued an Official Caution to Warkworth Mining Ltd (WML) for exceeded noise impact assessment criteria at three noise monitoring locations for the Warkworth Continuation Project on 20 July 2022. WML had failed to implement their approved Noise Management Plan on the night of 20 July 2022 in the lead up to the exceedances. WML have since implemented measures to ensure compliance with their management plan and NSW Planningcontinues to monitor WML's noise reporting data and implementation of the NMP.

Australia powered to the world strength it is on the back of exporting products from Agriculture, Heavy Industry and Mining over the last 100 years.
Agriculture is now struggling badly. Heavy Industry is a mere shadow of its former self. Mining is all we have left for generating the kind of money this country needs to continue the standard of living, we all as a nation, all enjoy.
I ask that the powers in charge approve this submission and others like it for the welfare of local communities and families Australia wide. The sheer volume of budgetary cash injection from mining should be reason enough to value and expand operations across out wide brown land.
For the knockers: I'm guessing you have never seen a re-mediated open cut site after operations have ceased. You would never even know an open cut mine had ever been there.

Continuation of MTW mining project means continued employment for me and other employees aswell as service providers to the mine. I believe that in a democratic society tough decisions should be made to reflect democratic principles.
People depending on the mining industry have a right to be meaningful employed and enjoy the benefits of living in the Hunter Valley the same as any other person currently living and working in the Hunter Valley.
I also believe that appropriate conditions need to be put inplace to minimise the impact on neighbouring communities.
This should not be about we win they loose or all out mining vs no mining but rather about working together to improve the way mines operate for the benefit of all.
