On 22 June 2023, NSW Planning issued an Official Caution to Warkworth Mining Ltd (WML) for exceeded noise impact assessment criteria at three noise monitoring locations for the Warkworth Continuation Project on 20 July 2022. WML had failed to implement their approved Noise Management Plan on the night of 20 July 2022 in the lead up to the exceedances. WML have since implemented measures to ensure compliance with their management plan and NSW Planningcontinues to monitor WML's noise reporting data and implementation of the NMP.

Its the reason i chose the car i drive and where i bought my house. The extension of MTW will benefit me, my family and the local and surrounding economy of the area surrounding MTW and its suppliers.

The denial of this extension would have a massive impact on the local community, it will have a much bigger impact on the hunter valley than what alot of people may think. There is a much bigger picture than just the 1300 jobs on the mine site itself.
I know personally at least 100 people that would be impacted in a huge way and that is family and friends

Without receiving the approval from the NSW Planning and Environment department, MTW cannot operate at current production levels and workforce numbers will decrease. Additionally MTW's spend in the local economy will also decrease. This would be devestating for the community already suffering fromt he down turn in the coal industry.
For the economic benefit of the workforce and the greater hunter region please approve MTW's application.

IF it was at all possible at this time for me to share with you the few ticketed skills I had when I started to the over twenty that I now have I would and am willing to still do so.
the amount of money that this mine has invested in me and the local community is just one reason the approval should be granted, and there is a lot more like me.
I have also seen what has been done to repair and rehabilitate the hills, ground and trees, adjacent my work area, i would love for the local community to see how this has developed and I find it and ever frustrating negative that is used as one possible scenario, for reasons to shut such a long term work and info structure facility, thousands will be affected if it closes.
