Once again discrepancies in numbers, heights, and plans are blurred in these projects. I've read 208 turbines and 96 turbines...how many exactly are there going to be? I object to turbines of this magnitude and in these numbers due to the enormous drain and interruption to our natural environment. They are not green, they are not renewable, they take huge amounts of natural resources to construct, erect, transport and maintain. The CO2 emissions from the concrete needed in itself is an assault on our environment.
NOT GREEN, NOT ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY, NOT RENEWABLE, NOT FOR ME!!!

I Totally Object to this ugly wind farm.
This project will be very destructive to native plants and animals during its construction and then it will continue to have devastating effects on the natural environment forever.

I object because they are destroying the environment in order to save the it.
These ugly turbines will be reminders of the destruction of our environment, caused by rushing these projects instead of thoughtfully evaluating the long term devastation that they will cause.

This project threatens native wildlife, plants and the environment.
The endangered Southern Bell Frogs, Painted Snipe and The Australian Bittern are all in this area near Balranald, but will be pushed to extinction by all the renewable projects in the region if they allowed to eventuate.
The Junction Rivers Wind Farm will be an environmental disaster.

I have lived in the region most of my life and know the area well.
The construction of this wind farm will destroy the rural scenery, native wildlife and their habitat.
We live here because it is rural, but when there are big ugly turbines are everywhere and you can see them for many kilometers then the country changes to industrial and ugly.
These wind turbines are not environmentally friendly and I object to their construction.

I regularly travel through this area and am very saddened by the thought of it being destroyed by the construction of turbines and other infrastructure required.
It will destroy the rural landscape, native wildlife and their environment.
Local farms will become ugly industrial sites.
Long term effects on the environment will be devastating if this project is approved.

Wind farms are an insult to REAL FARMS! They don't do what is claimed of them, it's all just a cash grab! Serious consideration should be given for our wonderful natural environment. We KNOW that the project managers (nor their employees) DON'T CARE ABOUT OUR ENVIRONMENT nor do they care about our endangered species!! That's your job to police these areas... don't fall down on your job! Don't let oversees company's take advantage of us.

I object to this Windlab project to produce unreliable, weather dependent energy.

There is no way that this project can supply cost competitive power to 434,000 NSW homes. 434,000 homes need power supplied 24/7 not just during periods of appropriate wind. Too windy and this project will need to be shut down, not enough wind and this project will not produce any power. I hope the 434,000 homes this project is supplying power to have another source of electricity. How is the power provided to this project 24/7 to keep the turbines functional? Where does the power come from when there is no wind/sun. Will Windlab be using any coal or gas fired power stations to build their project or keep their turbines operational? Will Windlab be using diesel generators during construction and/or during operation?

As Windlab grew out of CSIRO it is no wonder Windlab claims the power produced by this project will be cost competitive: like CSIRO not all costs are accounted for in order to claim cost competitiveness. Highly unlikely the project will last 35 years, what makes this project so different that it will last longer than any wind project has claimed to date? What is the real world expectation for longevity of the turbines? How often will the blades be replaced? Where is the dumping grounds for the blades? What impact will the degrading blades have on the environment? Will bisphenol A poison nearby water ways?

Do you care about our environment really?? If so you would consider the TOTAL impact that this BS renewable project will have! The natural resources required to construct, transport and erect will far outweigh any POSSIBLE gain. The roads damages due to the immense increase in vehicles, the damage to the flora, fauna and natural environment by way of leeching toxins. The fiberglass debris and the BPA contamination!
There's a race on atm for the best $$$ deal and very few want to look into the future or have the foresight to question what will become of these projects in the very near future. This is something that NEEDS serious consideration before anything moves further. Is it correct that the decommissioning is the responsibility of the land holder?
I OBJECT to THE JUNCTION RIVERS WIND FARM in its entirety!

I strongly oppose this project that it is already dividing a small community.

I believe that these horrendous wind turbines will have a significant negative impact on prime agricultural land. They will be detrimental to these family run farms that have had to endure the ups and downs of agricultural life throughout many generations. Why should they now have to suffer through this?

I strongly object to this project.
Having grown up in the area and having many personal connections to people who are directly affected it is devastating to hear of this proposal.
The physical, emotional and mental stress that this is causing the impacted community members and their family and friends is unfair. I am extremely concerned for the welfare of friends and family in the area.
They have spent their lives working tirelessly to run their farms and this project is, to put it simply, absolutely breaking them.
These people are feeling unheard, disregarded and powerless.
The whole process of this project has caused an unnecessary amount of stress on all involved.
The pros of this project DO NOT outweigh the cons.
To have to hear and see these obscene wind turbines is not what anyone had planned for their futures. The impact on their farms value dropping is just devastating after working for years to keep afloat.
I am so concerned for the mental health of these people affected if this goes ahead . Is the project really worth risking the quality of life of so many?

Would you want them in your neighbours backyard? To have to listen to them ? To have to see them ?

The amount of natural resources needed to complete the project are a drain on our environment, not green energy in any way!!
They are a blight on God's country land.
They are not friendly to our flora OR fauna and will interact in with our environment with far more harm than is being disclosed, by way of seismic vibrations, and the constant noise emitted.

As a lifetime grazier in the district of which 3 generations of my family have or hold properties, I believe this to be the biggest assault on our land to date! Our land is of the very best food producing soils in Australia and to reduce it to contaminated waste is a slap in the face to our veterans. Until there is a bond provided for the decommissioning of the sites, we cannot trust that the lands will be returned to their former pristine condition for the purpose of food production. For this reason I do not support wind turbines.

Message
I object to the windfarm proposal because the area is prime agricultural land which will inhibit cropping which is the backbone of this community. Our farmers and their families are integral for our schools and businesses in the small town of Balranald to survive. This will force a generational change which would be a disaster on a small town. These families have been in our community for generations and will continue to thrive in prime growing country without the interference of windfarms. I am vehementally opposed to this project in ths area.
