The extension for the stockpile at the Cooranbong site will allow enhanced management of Mandalong coal to domestic and export markets via the Cooranbong site. Mandalong Mine is vital to the local economy and its needs this extension of the Cooranbong stockpile to continue being a viable operation, supporting our local Eraring power station. Not allowing this extension will put hundreds of jobs in the local area at risk.

The proposed modification to extend the stockpile at the Cooranbong site will allow Mandalong to better manage coal movement to maintain consistent product for sale. Steps like this are required to be profitable in an industry that is selling product internationally and to power producers that have access to multiple sources.
Many people, working for the mine and wash plant, depend on their income from these businesses so the business should be supported.

I have been employed at the Mandalong Mine for the past 20 years. The proposed extension enables the mine to stay viable well into the future, thus ensuring I have employment through until my retirement.

I have have been able to raise family and support local business in the Morisset and Lake Macquarie area, throughout the entire 20 years, and have been grateful for being able to be close to home for work. We built a house here, my wife and I both work in the Lake Mac area, and we both are very supportive of local business, from the groceries we buy, to the cafes and restaurants we visit.

I look forward to the submission being approved and continuing our life here in the area.

I support the expansion of the stockpile at Cooranbong Mine Site. Mandalong mines good quality coal required for power generation, and the expansion of this stockpile will keep jobs local to Newcastle.

The proposed extension to the stockpile at Cooranbong Surface Facility is a crucial development that will enhance the efficiency and reliability of coal supply from Mandalong. This modification will enable better management of coal for both domestic and export markets via the CES, ensuring a stable and consistent supply to key customers, including Eraring Power Station.
Centennial is committed to operating responsibly, with strict environmental management and compliance programs in place. Their experienced personnel oversee extensive monitoring initiatives to minimize environmental impact while continuously seeking improvements. Additionally, Centennial actively engages with local communities, fostering transparent communication and addressing concerns proactively.
The extension will provide a practical solution to logistical challenges, ensuring operational continuity and security of supply. This benefits not only Eraring Power Station but also the broader energy sector and local businesses that rely on a stable economy.

This will allow ongoing employment security for many local workers and have little to zero impact on the surrounding area.
Provided environmental studies have been done and approved, then I see no issues with supporting this project,
