North Byron Parklands - Cultural Events Site

I absolutely believe that the Parklands should become a permanent site for any type of music/arts festival or function which will mean the community and surrounds can invest in improvements to the area which will enhance the experience for local business and the attendees.

I would love to see Parklands become a permanent home for the Splendour In The Grass and Falls Festivals.

I support the idea of smaller cultural and community events to also be held at Parklands.

i do not believe there is any significant reason this should not be approved. Each year they prove that the impact on the surrounding areas is minimal and these events create great tourism and work for this area.

I do not understand why we would hand these events to operate anywhere else.

North Byron Parklands have made a wonderful home for many cultural events and festivals over the past years, and continue to provide a beautiful venue that showcases some of Australia's most beautiful landscapes for patrons from across the world.

I believe Byron parklands will significantly benefit if it changes to a permanent home for music, art and cultural events! We've seen how successful Falls festival and Splendour in the grass have become so it can only get better as time goes on! It also provides opportunity for more successful events to take place and will ensure organisers take responsibility for cleanliness and maintenance of the parklands to continue success of the events!

I would love to see cultural and music based festivals stick around as a permanent feature for North Byron Bay Parklands. With an increasingly better management team, the environment would be looked after and noise reduced by festival goers. A win for everyone.

Byron bay parklands is a beautiful space to host splendour in the grass and falls.

This is a valuable venue type for the community, the music industry and for future events in a growing shire.

Having personally been at such events, the level of care, respect and clean up when using the grounds is great. It would be a loss for the local and surrounding communities if such events that encourage good cultural, environmental, social and artistic diversity and cohesion were to be moved elsewhere.

The number of visitors to the proposed events is not in keeping with current infrastructure capabilities.

Great venue! We love coming to the venue and provides a great injection of business into the area.

The events that are held at the North Byron Parklands attract such a diverse cultural segment of society from all over the globe. The positive economic affect of the amount of additional spend from attendees would surely benefit the entire NSW and SE Qld communities. It would be a great loss to the area if these events were not able to be held at this amazing venue. The tourism impact would be massive. The parklands are always so well looked after by the event organisers and there would be very little if any negative impact of holding these events.

Parklands should become a permanent music, arts & cultural event site for
NSW. Music, arts & cultural festivals pull people closer together.
Music, art and culture is what makes festival so fun and investing.
You learn so much about yourself and everyone else around you. Having
this permanent space in parklands means many more years and maybe
generations that get to have an eventful time. Music, art and culture
is everything.

I worked at these park lands in 2017/2018, I haven't been to many places
that have been as well set up and as well looked after as Byron bay
park lands. The team I was apart of for the duration of my work there
took the utmost care of the environment I have ever seen and been
apart of. The layout of the park lands seemed to be just right, with
the perfect amount of space for car parks,camping grounds and the
festival itself. Between the amount of care that the staff put into
looking after the environment while simultaneously creating such an
unforgettable experience at the festival is amazing, I believe that it
is the perfect place for the falls festival and Splendour in the grass
festival.

Great site that would remain unequal in terms of providing such a great
experience for festival goers and the positive impact on the
Australian music scene

This is a letter in full support of the above application. As a Byron
shire local of over 14 years now I have attended every splendour in
the grass that I could have. I've watched it go from the centre of
town, out to Woodford, and now back to its new home at yelgun. This is
without a doubt the best location for such an event. Splendour in the
grass IS Byron bay. And while it is no longer practical to hold such
an event in town, we need a location like parklands. I've personally
been on site before, during and after both splendour and falls, and
the operation couldn't be run any more smoothly. It really is a
beautiful thing. On a side note I have been working with members to
host disc golf events, possibly the biggest in Australia, and the
above application would also secure such a thing. Any application in
this town will no doubt be met with objections, for some reason people
in this town love to complain. But this is a good thing for our town,
our youth, our businesses, and all involved. Please please please let
