Malek Fahd Islamic School Expansion

Malek Fahd is a school that holds the beliefs and values of Australian culture. Besides being an Islamic school that adds to Australia’s multicultural society, it is also adding to Australia’s revenue system. By expanding the school, we are able to have more students and families enrol which will then increase revenue in the education system as well as increase opportunities for families migrating, further benefiting Australia’s economy. Currently, Malek Fahd is a multi-campus school, with the main campus in South western Sydney, Greenacre. With the multicultural population in Greenace, the school is renowned for its teachings and values as well at the benefits they add to the Australian economy. This is something which can be carried forward to the Beaumont Hills campus if an opportunity is given for an expansion.

There are already several public schools in the area that are larger than this one, so I don't see any reason for objection. The school is taking all necessary steps to minimize any disruption to its surroundings. Many families are eager to send their children here, and with this expansion, the school will be better equipped to serve both its students and the community. I strongly support this expansion and hope the school is permitted to move forward with the proposed plan.

I am writing to express my strong objection to the proposed expansion of Malek Fahd Islamic School. My concerns stem from the significant negative impact this expansion will have on local infrastructure, traffic congestion, pedestrian safety, and the amenity of the surrounding residential area.
Traffic Congestion and Road Safety: The current traffic situation around the school is already untenable. Local roads are frequently gridlocked during peak school hours due to the high volume of vehicles. Almost all students are driven to school, a clear indication that the majority of the student body resides outside the immediate area. This reliance on private vehicles creates a bottleneck that the existing road network simply cannot handle. An expansion of the school will only exacerbate this issue, leading to further congestion, increased travel times for residents, and a heightened risk of accidents.
Lack of Pedestrian Access and Safety: The current road infrastructure lacks adequate pedestrian access, making it unsafe for students at this school and other local schools. The increased traffic volume resulting from the expansion will further compromise pedestrian safety, particularly for younger children. The absence of safe crossing points and designated walkways is a serious concern that must be addressed before any expansion is considered.
Noise Impact: The increased activity associated with a larger school population will inevitably lead to a rise in noise levels. This will disrupt the peace and quiet of the surrounding residential area, impacting the quality of life for residents. The noise generated by student drop-off and pick-up, as well as increased traffic flow, will contribute to an unacceptable level of noise pollution.
Conclusion: The proposed expansion of Malek Fahd Islamic School presents significant challenges that cannot be ignored. The existing local road network is already struggling to cope with the current traffic volume, and an expansion will only worsen the situation. Furthermore, the lack of safe pedestrian access and the potential for increased noise pollution are serious concerns that must be addressed.

I support expanding Malek Fahd Islamic school for the purpose of maintaining the well being of students and helping them have the opportunity of a better learning environment, such as other students across Australia.
