I have a young family and a mortgage and as such rely on my position at MTW for my families sole income.
I moved my family from Darwin for the job security and services available in NSW,without my current employment i feel I would have to move interstate.
I strongly support this application because of the potential job losses and damage to the Hunter Valley economy.

I support the submission as my livelihood is dependant upon it. Without employment I stand to lose my house. It would not only affect myself but also my family.
This approval will keep people employed and support hundreds of families in the valley.

I support this submission as the employment of 1300 employee's and my own employment as well as numerous other sub-contracting companies will depend on this extension. The extension will support the community and environment due the financial offsets and other money's directly injected into the community.
As an apprentice at Mounth Thorley Warworth my future and the future of my family depend on having a secure job, if this extension is not approved I wouldn't have that.
The benefits that a company like Coal and Allied provide to the community and surrounds with support to business and community groups and organisations is phenomenal.

I am writning my submission in support of this enivironmental assessment modification for Mount Thorley Warkworth mine.
I am a supervisor for one of the contract companies who have haul truck operators on site.
I am a single income family and if the mine was to close i would be looking for a job. My eldest daughter has a disability so my wife needs to stay at home to ensure the proper care is given to her.
This coal mine is the source of income for many families such as mine. If the modification was granted then it would ensure the security of jobs and take the stress off families who may already be struggling.
We need to consider not just the permanent employees but also the contracting companies that support this mine.
Please consider all outcomes.

Having a young family and an employee of Coal and ALlied i fully support the proposed modification of the Mt Thorley Warkworth Coal Mine.
Having a young family that recently relocated to be closer to the mine the current situation provides an uncertain future for me and my family as well as the supporting business and there employees in the surronding community.
By approving the modification it will provide me and my family with the oppurtunity of a stable and secure life.
the granting of the modification to increase the spending thatr we have planned due to our rleocation in finishing off house and yard
Having lived in the Hunter Valley in some capacity for the previous 10 years i would hate to think what the consequences would be to many of the communities without the support and spending associated with the mining industry and personally i feel that withdrawing the approval for this extension would be the start of a slow death both economically and population wise for the hunter valley
Please please let us keep our jobs !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

As a current employee the rejection of this extension would be devastating on my family. As a local person the loss of the extension would mean the subsequent closure of Mt Thorely Warkworth mine would be a major loss for the community already reeling from such closures as Hydro Aluminium. The Closure would see 1500 direct job losses and an estimated 5000 indirect job losses in communities already struggling with the current down turn.

As a contractor to the mine,i require the mine expansion to go ahead to gain fulltime employment but more so to ensure my job security. There is a very real possibility that myself and many other contractors will lose our jobs within the next twelve month..the expansion will be a huge bonus to the local economy and the community in general.jobs are getting harder to come by we all want to secure our future and the expansion will go a long way to guaranteeing this.

I am currently employed at MTW as a contractor and have been for the past 2 years. I have a wife and 5 children that rely on my income to live week to week. We have a morgage and a ever increasing list of bills so without my employment at MTW we will be in dire straights. Please consider my future when reviewing this submission.

I am writing to put forward my support of the Warkworth application. This application will provide jobs and income for the local communities as well as tax for the government which will, in turn, benefit everybody in the form of infrastructure, healthcare and education.

i currently work at walkworth and support the extention because it provides employment to the locale comunity and sorounding areas i am an empolye and so are a few of my nabours to our small area it would impact us in a negitve way we live fether a way and would find extra travel difficult to mines futher up the valley. i also think that the spin off of this extention being turned down will negitive in that distrust in the system would detur big companys from investing in the valley and state.i think that this mine is resonsible in the way it handles the nosie and dust problems occuring at all open cut operations thankyou for for considering my opinion and the opinion of my family

I support Coal & Allied's Warkworth Modification application to gain access to an additional 350m of land owned by the mine, to avoid a significant drop in production and employment.
I have worked at Mt Thorley Warkworth mine for 5 years. I'm an engineer in the mine production team. I am the sole provider for my family of 4. If the mine were to downsize, I would be forced to source employment outside of the hunter valley, either up rooting my family or joining the fifo work force.
Either of these options would be pressure on my family.
Mount Thorley Warkworth provides a stable income for over 1,300 full time employees in the Hunter Valley. And the operation of the mine reaches into many other businesses that supply MTW. Thousands of people depend on this mine and if production was to drop, the result could be devastating.
We need certainty. We've been wondering what the future holds now for four years. If this minor modification to an existing, 30 year old mine does not get approved, I am worried about what this will mean for local jobs and investment across the NSW mining industry.
Please accept this submission in support of the Warkworth Modification.
Regards,
Glenn Harris

Please consider all the people that will be affected if this extension proposal for Mount Thorley Warkworth is not approved. Not only will all of us that are employed directly (and our families) by RTCA , but the smaller local companies and their employees(and their families also!!). Coal and Allied also make a large contribution to the local and surrounding communities!! so everyone suffers !!
