If the submission was to be declined it would impact on my employment thus affecting the total income of my family. Our toatal income would be grately dimminshed and also how much we as a family are able to contribute to the local community ie: P&C association, RFS and other community groups that we contribute to.

I have been employed at Mount Thorley Warkworth mine for 7 years. This desision has a major implications on my home life. I strongly believe that MTW Mine can operate within our constrains as well as being a good neighbour to the community. If this Warkworth modification is not approved the follow on effects on the local community could be devastating.

I have been employed at Mount Thorley Warkworth for 2 years as a contractor. In the event that MTW mine does not get the Modification I fear I will lose my employment. The follow on effect from that is I will probably lose my house if I cannot find employment quickly.

I started at MTW mine 2.5 years ago as a trainee. I am now a permanet employee and intended to stay at MTW for the long term. If MTW closes i no longer have employment. As a parent of 3 small kids and a mortgage holder this would have terrible effect on my family and the community as a whole.

I have worked at Mt thorley Warkworth for ten years. I am concerned about employment at this mine if the extension does not get approved. There is a lull in the industry at the moment and I believe if I were to loose my job it would be difficult to get another.

I have been employed at Mount Thorley Warkworth Mine for 18 months as Mobile Equipment Operator. I moved to the area for permanet employment and job security in the mining industry. Being the only income in my family if MTW did not get the Modification the implications could be devastating on my family and I would more than likely have to leave the area to seek employment.

The failure of Coal and Allied to secure the extension of their lease will have huge consequences for my family and the community which will suffer due to my husband being unemployed and no money being spent in the local ecconomy. The township of Bulga now the mine was there what did they expect.

To Whom It May Concern.
I am 35 years of age and have worked at Mt. Thorley for 5 years. I am married and expecting our first child. We have a mortgage on our home. My wife works for Orica who service Mt. Thorley. If we loose our jobs we would have to sell our home and life would be very difficult. It is not just my family but all the other employees at Rio Tinto and the supporting and servicing industries that are connected with Mt. Thorley because they will be financially impacted as well. It is important that serious consideration be given to this issue and that the stress and uncertainty that is being caused to many families be considered as well. The ramifications of the mine closure have far reaching effects and I respectfully request that this issue be considered in all respects.

As a contractor at Mount Thorley Walkworth, I would lose my job if the extension didnt go through. Thats in itself would place too much financial pressure on my family as I am the only person in my family that brings an income into the household as my wife is unable to work due to pregnancy issues. The loss of job would all but mean that I would have to sell my house and move my pregnant wife, my 4yr old son and myself back in with parents.
