support the extention as so i have a future for my family

I wish to see the extension approved because if it doesnt I will be one of 1200 that will lose my job, that will hurt the local and greater economy. which will also add to the many locals that lost there jobs in the previous lay offs. meaning that there is going to be a lot of people leaving the hunter area. i am also concerned about the future as my whole work history is all in the mining industry and think i am to old to learn new skills

if the extension fails to go ahead I will be affected greatly, as I am about to buy a property in SIngleton. My family will be also affected due to me not having an income. The community will also be affected as 1200 people will be looking for employment. And will possibly have to move away from the area. As an older 47 female employee I am concerned with my future employment avenues being quite limited. My working life has been mining and thats all I know

I relocated from western NSW to take a position at the mine 6 years ago. I have a family and recently purchased a house in the area. I am concerned about the stability of my employment if the lease extension doesn't go ahead. It could be difficult to get another position in the area, and I could have trouble selling my house if it affected the local economy.

I am needing this extention to go ahead for the MTW mine as I am an employee and have been working here for over 5 years.
My job supports my family and children. If this extention doesnt go ahead I have no other work that I can walk into therefore I will join the many other employees im sure that will have to turn to government assistance.
So many people rely on this place for their support, the direct employee, their families, all the contractors and business that count on the money that gets circulated throughout the cominity.
The Hunter is an important Australian export in coal. We need to keep this running to suport the many australians.

As an operator at MTW I feel this submission is vital to the future of my employment within the mining industry . Married with 3 children on a single wage I feel failure to approve this submission would be detramental to our family unit financially.

The mine is located in an area with other mines neighbouring, I do not feel this would have a major environmental impact on the area as mining already exist here. Local residence have been aware of these mines and Mtw does what it can to accomodate them on a regular basis.

im 24 years old and have worked at mtw for the past 5 years, the mining industry is the only skills i have and without this job my life wouldnt be as it is today. i have recently built a house and am a home owner, so i have a substantial amount of debt and my job here at mtw helps me pay off and live the life i do. if this extension doesnt get approved i will be forced to look form work elsewhere for a job and seeing as the industry is on a downturn this would mean i would have to move away to support my finances.

i support this extension because without it i may be unemployed and i believe it will impact the community with flow on effects when people leave the area to find other employment and no longer can support the local businesses

as an operator at mtw it is imperitive for this submission to be successful to keep stable employment moving forward. i am a local resident with a mortgage and family on a single income and are heavily relying on the security of my employment. as well as the fact of spending my money locally, supporting local business and their families. also with the current economic climate there are no other local jobs available suitable for my skill set and experience, even if i had to move away from this community, opportunities are very slim.

i support this application for extension for the future of my job and my family.

If we dont get the extention my wife and myself would be forced to move away from singleton to chase future employment.

I have worked at mtw for 4 years im married looking at starting a family soon and have a mortgage and with the down turn in the coal industry there are not many other jobs to go to for my skill set. I would like to stay at mtw for a long time. Im very concerned for my future if this extension doesnt get approved.

i would like the extension to go ahead so i can keep my job at mt thorley warkworth and secure the future for myself and my family and it will also be good for the community.

As a young aboriginal moving my family down from Qld to hopefully stay settled in the Hunter, this will be a major blow to our family if this extension dosn't go ahead. At this stage in my childern life relocation would have a major negative impact in their lives etc. sport, education, friends & family.

I would like to see the lease extension go ahead for secure employment for me and my family. I have a mortgage and am concerned that if I was to loose my job it would be difficult to get another in the industry which is suffering from low coal prices at present.

I have have worked on this mine site for 3 years. I am an operator on site. If the extension does not go ahead it will rob our family of our only full time income. If it doesnt go ahead it will put pressure on our family to relocate to other areas that we havent planned on.

If the extension does not go through, I will loose my job and wont be able to pay my mortgage. We have two children and they will have to leave the school they attend and go back to the public system, which in turn willl make their education suffer. Trying to find new employment will be difficult. It just took my wife 6 months to find work, so I know how hard it is to get a job.

My name is Aaron Ramien, I have worked here at MTW now for 8 years. It is a great place to work and it would be very disapointing for myself and my work mates if the operation was to close. Furthermore, I have family with 3 young children who rely on my employment here at MTW.

I believe MTW has the skills and people who can control the environmental issue to which most seem to be concerned.

MTW provides a stable income for myself and my family. I also have alot of friends and their families who also have links to the mine. We depend on this mine.

We need certainty. I dont even know if i will have a job at the end of the year and to be honest it is a little scary.

I know we can manage the concerns of the surrounding community if we are given the chance.
